Oregon Certified Master Builder Program A message from Tom Payne: The Certified Master Builder Program was authorized by the State of Oregon to recognize builders who have reached an advanced level within their profession. The program administered by the Oregon Building Industry Association admits only experienced builders with an exceptional record of quality and customer satisfaction. They must obtain references from other builders, clients and tradespeople. In addition, they must have a clean record with the State Construction Contractors Board. Once admitted into the program, the builders are certified after meeting stringent state requirements. These include specialized formal education in building codes and practices, legal and other issues. They must also pass a written test administrated by the State of Oregon. I was the first Portland Based builder to earn this designation and received it in January 2001. As a Certified Master Builder I have demonstrated a high level of achievement within the construction industry and have been recognized by independent statewide organizations as being a leader in quality and service. This specific training, coupled with both a BA and MBA, provide a solid business, ethical and practical base to ensure a smooth home building process for my customers. Building a home is an expensive, time consuming, and detailed project demanding expert management. When choosing a builder it is wise to check references and qualifications. The few Certified Master Builders statewide are the only professionals who have earned a title recognized in the industry as a benchmark of quality and experience. Having a Certified Master Builder work with you will improve the quality of the process and make it a trouble free as possible. Since 1993 Craftsman Homes Group has completed or is building homes worth over 16 million dollars. |
